Annalize Ide
BVSc(Hons) MMedVet(Path) MRCVS
Head of Pathology
Annalize was born in South Africa in 1969. She qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Onderstepoort, South Africa in 1993. After qualifying she came to the UK, where she spent 18 months In mixed private practice in Southwest Wales, dealing mainly with dairy cattle, sheep and small animals. In 1995 she returned to Onderstepoort as a postgraduate student in Pathology. To read more click here |

Chris Knott
BVSc. Cert. LAS MRCVS
Chris was born in Oldham in 1958 and was educated at Manchester Grammar School and then Liverpool University, where he received the degree of BVSc in 1981. After qualifying, his first job was in a large mixed, mainly small animal practice in Basildon, Essex. Having kept all manner of unusual pets since early childhood, he naturally chose to specialize in treatment of exotic animals, with a particular interest in reptiles. To read more click here |

Daren Hanshaw
BSc BVMS (Hons) MRVCS
Daren qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1987 at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia. He has had a long career as a small animal clinical practitioner, and during this time, spent 3 years working within a university veterinary hospital environment, completed locum employment throughout the UK (including a 6 month position as a technical advisor for a major pharmaceutical company).

David Shearer
BVetMed CertSAD PhD CBiol MIBiol MRCVS
David Shearer qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1984 where he was medicine intern until 1985 and during which time he developed an interest in dermatology. He was in mixed practice in Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire for several years before working at the University of Bristol Veterinary School from 1988-1998.

Dominique Fournier
DVM MVetSci Dipl. ACVP MRCVS
Dominique qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Montreal, Canada, in 2001. She then started a residency program in anatomic pathology at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM), Saskatoon, Canada. She obtained her Master’s degree in the summer of 2003, studying the
prevalence of Maedi-visna in sheep in Alberta.

Nick Woodger
BSc BVet Med MRCPath MRCVS
Nick followed up a BSc in Animal Virology from Edinburgh University with a veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in 1994. He spent five years in general mixed practice in Suffolk before taking up a residency in Veterinary Pathology at Cambridge University Veterinary School. He attained membership
of the Royal College of Pathologists by examination in 2005 following spells with Finn pathologists and the Veterinary Laboratories Agency.

Sandy Bjornson
BVSc DipRCPath MRCVS
Sandy qualified from the Bristol Veterinary School in 1967 and worked in mixed practice in Wales and East Anglia. In 1993 he took a position as Lecturer in Veterinary Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College London. In addition to teaching he became heavily involved in the college pathology diagnostic service, which
included post mortem examination of many species, including horses, biopsies and cytology. To read more click here
