Axiom Veterinary Laboratories offers a comprehensive range of serological investigations. These are under continual review, and new assays or methodologies are implemented as they become available, and as our clients dictate.
Among the tests currently on offer are: |
- Assays for the detection of microbial antigens, e.g. FIV, FeLV, FeCoV, Coronavirus, Rotavirus etc.
- Assays for the detection of antibodies to microbial agents, and, where indicated, identification of antibody class (IgG or IgM) to aid in differentiating ‘acute’ from ‘chronic’ infection. These include Toxoplasma, Neospora, Leptospira, EVA etc.
- Assays which aid in evaluating immune status, e.g. measurement of Immunoglobulins (e.g. IgA, IgG, IgM), Rose-Waaler testing, ANA testing, thyroglobulin antibody assays etc.
- Miscellaneous tests,
e.g. von-Willebrands factor assay, canine and feline NT pro-BNP, etc.

| Most of these investigations have very short turn-around times from result of sample to resulting, though, out of necessity, others have to be batch processed. Please call the laboratory for additional information regarding any of these tests, and for specific sample requirements. |
For a full breakdown of the testing options we offer please click the Sample Requirements link and search for the testing option you are looking for. This link provides the sample required to perform the test and the day(s) on which the tests are run. Please note that these timings are based on samples arriving at our main facility in Devon.
