Rachel Barrett BVMS, CertSAM, MRCVS.

Veterinary Clinical Pathologist
(Small Animal Medicine)

Rachel qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 1995. After two years in general practice in Somerset she returned to Glasgow for a clinical training scholarship in small animal medicine which also included anaesthesia and critical care. This culminated in her attaining the RCVS certificate in small animal medicine in 1999. She then returned to small animal practice in Lanarkshire as a senior assistant, receiving within practice referrals in internal medicine. Since 2002 she has been working part time in small animal practice and has had two children. She is delighted to join Axiom Veterinary Laboratories, to pursue her interest in clinical pathology alongside her family commitments. She has a strong clinical interest in all aspects of small animal internal medicine
but particularly endocrinology.

Rachel will be based in Lanarkshire but will very much be a part of the clinical pathology team, she can be contacted through the main switchboard number 01626 355655.
