These are returned with a written clinical pathologist's comment
(if history is provided) and FREE telephone
back-up. Heparin plasma may be used for all biochemical tests except bile
acids. Do not use serum gel tubes
for endocrine assays. Patients should not be fed for 8-12 hours
before collecting blood for these profiles if possible. |
